U of L back on '16 in-state guard after trip

The top prospect in Kentucky's Class of 2016 - Quentin Goodin - made his first trip to the University of Louisville last weekend. Goodin has eight offers and is getting interest from U of L. Cardinal Authority has the latest.

Only a sophomore at Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Ky., Quentin Goodin wasn't hearing a lot from the University of Louisville in recent months.

The 6-foot-2 Goodin, who participated in the USA Basketball Developmental Training Camp in Colorado Springs last fall, visited U of L several times last season.

Now, Goodin is back on the U of L radar.

U of L assistant coach Kevin Keatts watched him play last weekend at Fairdale and then Goodin and his family watched the Cardinals in a win over Central Florida later that night.

"It all went just fine," said Goodin's father, Chris. "We watched the game, got to talk to coach for a minute and had a really good time."

Chris Goodin said he never felt like his son was "off the radar" with U of L, but the Cardinals have been focusing on finishing up the Class of 2014 and starting the '15 class.

The elder Goodin said Keatts told the family he would be in touch soon.

Goodin has offers from Indiana, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, UAB, Western Kentucky, Northern Kentucky and Samford. He has interest from a ton of others.
