It wasn't as sharp as they had been playing in recent weeks, but it was still a win for the University of Louisville basketball team.
The Cardinals opened a 46-28 led at halftime and crushed South Florida 80-54 before 21,655 fans at the KFC Yum! Center on Tuesday.
Russ Smith scored 19 points and had five rebounds to lead four players in double figures for the Cardinals. Luke Hancock added 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals and Montrezl Harrell had 14 points.
Terry Rozier had 13 for the Cardinals, who hit 34 of 71 from the field and outrebounded the Bulls 36-30. The Cardinals had just eight turnovers and 14 assists, while forcing 20 turnovers in the contest.
"We didn't play like we wanted," Hancock said. "We got a lot of shots up because of the turnovers, but we still have to play better."
U of L (22-4, 11-2) will now play at Cincinnati on Saturday at noon.
