Brooks likes family atmosphere at Louisville

Louisville Trinity running back Donald Brooks enjoyed his recent visit with the Cardinal football program. Cardinal Authority has this report.

The Louisville Metro area appears to have a deeper talent pool in the 2015 recruiting class and Trinity running back Donald Brooks is certainly part of that group.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound back led the Shamrocks in rushing as a junior and is expected to be the primary back for the traditional high school power.

Brooks was among a group on top in-state talent that made unofficial visits with the Cardinal football program recently. The visit included time meeting with coaches and attending a basketball game at the KFC Yum! Center.

"I loved everything about the visit," he said. "I love that U of L is a family."

While on his visit he spent most of his time with Ballard prospects Sean Hammonds and Malik Dow.

A visit to Western Kentucky is on tap for Brooks, who is also hearing from Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky and Missouri.

Brooks claims no favorites at this time and is looking forward to exploring his options throughout the recruiting process.

"My No. 1 goal is to put myself in a position for a free education," he explained.
