Update on U of L women's hoops signees

A few updates on how members of the University of Louisville women's basketball Class of 2014 have fared this season in high school.

Mariya Moore: She scored 38 points and pulled down 10 rebounds over the weekend to help Salesian, Calif., High to a 76-57 win over St. Mary's in the Tri-County Athletic League tournament championship game.

Salesian begins play in the North Coast Section Division 4 state tournament on Wednesday with a 24-5 record.

Sydney Brackemyre: She had 14 points to lead Clinton-Massie (25-0) to a 36-24 win over Bellbrook in the Ohio Division-II sectional final on Saturday. Clinton-Massie will now play Tipp City Tippecanoe on Friday in the district final.

Brackemyre was named first-team All-South Central Ohio League last week.

Arica Carter: She is averaging 12.8 points and 5.5 rebounds for a 22-2 Long Beach, Calif., Poly team that will play West Hills, Calif., Chaminade on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Girls open division.

Ariana Freeman: She was named Player of the Year in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. On Tuesday, Freeman will lead her Paul VI team against St. John's in the WCAC championship game. She averages 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds a game.

Myisha Hines-Allen: She's averaging 19.8 points and 9.7 rebounds a game Montclair, N.J., will begin play in the Group 4 state tournament on March 4.
