The University of Louisville football staff has extended scholarship offers to prospects from 17 states in recent weeks, including two in two days from the state of Arizona.
The Cardinals offered Phoenix Pinnacle High School quarterback Brian Lewerke on Tuesday.
The latest offer went out to Scottsdale, Ariz., Saguaro High School wide receiver Christian Kirk, considered the No. 4 wide receiver in the country by Scout.com.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Kirk said he now has 32 offers, including U of L, Georgia, Penn State, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Oregon, Texas, Miami, USC, Stanford, Ohio State, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma State and Florida State among others.
Kirk has already visited UCLA and USC and is expected to visit Ohio State soon.
As a junior, Kirk caught 65 passes for 1,164 and 17 touchdowns and carried the ball 77 times for 825 yards and 13 more TDs. Kirk threw for two TD passes in limited time as a quarterback and made 50 tackles and had two interceptions on offense, helping Saguaro to the Division 3 state title.
