Lexington Lafayette senior Jackson Davis was committed to Rice just two weeks ago.
But after backing off that commitment, the 6-foot-8 power forward has become one of the hottest prospects in the Class of 2014.
Davis has landed a bunch of big-time offers in the past few days and now University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino and assistant coach Kevin Keatts are expected to attend Friday's game to evaluate the prospect.
Johnathan Davis, the players father, confirmed to Cardinal Authority that the U of L coaches would be at the game. The elder Davis signed with Pitino when he was at Kentucky.
The father said Keatts told him the Cardinals are "looking for an athletic four-man."
Boston College and Georgia Tech made in-home visit on Wednesday, while Davis already has offers since the Rice de-commitment from Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Central Florida and Rice. He's also hearing from Indiana, Minnesota, Oregon, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee among others.
Louisville already has six members of the Class of 2014.
