Smith, Harrell named to All-AAC first team

Montrezl Harrell and Russ Smith have both been named to the American Athletic Conference first-team, while Terry Rozier was named to the All-Rookie team.

The University of Louisville basketball team has landed two players on the American Athletic Conference first-team All-Conference team.

Russ Smith was one of three unanimous players selected to the team, while Montrezl Harrell was also picked onto the first team.

Smith, Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick and Connecticut's Shabazz Napier were the unanimous selections, while Harrell and SMU's Nic Moore rounded out the first team.

Smith finished the regular season as the fourth-leading scorer in The American at 17.5 points per game and was third in the conference in assists at 4.8. He was also second in steals at 2.0 a game, while finishing as one of the school's top 10 scorers.

Harrell has been sensational as of late. He averages 14 points and 8.3 rebounds a game, while leading the league in field-goal percentage at 61.2.

U of L freshman Terry Rozier was named to the All-Rookie team.
