4-star RB keeps Cards in top five

A member of the Scout 300, Bellaire (Tex.) Episcopal running back Tyreik Gray announced a top five last month and on Friday updated the top five with Louisville still in the mix. The four-star prospect tells Cardinal Authority that he will set up a visit to U of L.

Early last month, Bellaire (Tex.) Episcopal four-star running back Tyreik Gray named a list of five schools recruiting him the hardest.

On Friday, Gray put on Twitter his "top five" and then confirmed to Cardinal Authority that Kansas, Louisville, Baylor, Oklahoma and Houston are "the schools in my top five."

"That's my top five," Gray said.

A member of the Scout 300, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Gray has offers from several other places, including Arizona State, Arkansas and Oklahoma State.

Gray said Louisville has been showing him "a lot of interest in recent weeks," and is "setting up a visit right now," with the Cardinals.

As a junior, Gray rushed for 1,093 yards and reached the end zone 19 times. He earned First Team All-Conference for his efforts.
