Ohio '15 defensive standout checks out Cards

Huber Heights, Ohio, Wayne High School defensive standout Guy Victoria is starting to get a lot of interest from colleges. He checked out Louisville on Saturday and fills in Cardinal Authority on the visit.

Huber Heights, Ohio, Wayne High School defensive standout Guy Victoria is a member of the Class of 2015 and at this point doesn't have any scholarship offers.

But on Saturday, Victoria was at one of the schools showing him the most interest.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Victoria spent the morning and afternoon at the University of Louisville as part of the Cardinals' Junior Day festivities. He was among about 30 prospects on campus watching the team scrimmage.

"I really liked it a lot," Victoria said, "It was a great atmosphere to be in. I am really impressed with the program."

Victoria said he doesn't have any scholarship offers at this point but also mentioned Cincinnati and Ohio U. as schools showing interest.

"The (Louisville) coaches told me they would be in touch with me," he said. "I also talked with (defensive coordinator Todd Grantham) and he asked me how much I was weighing. I told him I weighed in at 225 pounds and he told me I would be more of a outside linebacker/stand up end.

"So, I'm really excited about Louisville."

Victoria played at Springfield, Ohio, last season but is now enrolled at Wayne. He made a visit to one U of L game last season.
