Georgia athlete 'loves' visit to Louisville

Cartersville, Ga., athlete Kalin Harris made the trip to the University of Louisville on Saturday for Junior Day with his parents. Now, Harris is hoping for an offer from the Cardinals.

Cartersville, Ga., athlete Kalin Harris already holds five scholarship offers, including ones from Kansas State, Charlotte, Chattanooga, James Madison and Marshall.

But after a weekend visit to the University of Louisville, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Harris is hoping another offer is on the way.

"We just loved it there," Harris' father, Joey, told Cardinal Authority. "He's excited about it and really wants them to offer.

"Kalin said he would pledge if they offered. He just really liked what he saw there."

Harris, who plays running back and linebacker, has been on visits to Charlotte and Clemson and is expected to visit Kansas State soon. He has also been hearing from Cincinnati.

But his father said after the visit to Louisville, the other schools take a back seat.

"He had a chance to talk to the coaches and he liked them a lot and the facilities are great," Joey Harris said. "The coaches told him they would like to see him increase his speed, but everything was great there.

"He really liked Louisville a lot."

As a junior, Harris ran 66 times for 817 yards and 11 touchdowns and had 18 catches for 244 yards.
