Cards offer two California youngsters

Two California prospects from the Class of 2017 - Keyshawn Johnson Jr., and Darnay Holmes - have both landed scholarship offers from the University of Louisville. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the offers.

Keyshawn Johnson Jr., whose father is the former NFL wide receiver, has been getting a ton of attention on the national recruiting scene.

The younger Johnson is a member of the Class of 2017 and already has 10 scholarship offers.

Johnson and friend and fellow '17 prospect from California Darnay Holmes added another offer to the list on Wednesday - Louisville. The Cardinals have offered both prospects.

A 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver, Johnson and Holmes - a 5-10, 180-pound running back/corbernack - both made unofficial visits to Ohio State on Wednesday and are expected at Clemson on Thursday afternoon.

Johnson, whose father was the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft coming out of USC, has offers from U of L, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Arizona State, Tennessee, West Virginia, UCLA and SMU.

He attends Mission Viejo, Calif., while Holmes attends Newbury Park, Calif.

Holmes also has offers from Arizona, UCLA, Utah, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Colorado State.
