Winston Bennett's daughter to Louisville

Jasmine Bennett, the daughter of former University of Kentucky standout basketball player and assistant coach, has committed to play volleyball at Louisville. Bennett is a junior outside hitter at McCracken County High School.

According to the Paducah Sun, the daughter of former University of Kentucky basketball player and assistant coach Winston Bennett is committed to the University of Louisville.

The newspaper did a story on the family when Jasmine Bennett - the daughter who is a junior at McCracken County High School - was the only one in the household pulling for the Cardinals in the Sweet 16 basketball game against UK.

"It's definitely exciting knowing I'm going to be a Cardinal next year," she told the paper. "It just gives me the motivation to work harder next year to get to where I want to be."

Jasmine Bennett is a 6-foot-2 outside hitter for McCracken County, which made it to the state tournament last season.

Winston Bennett, the former Kentucky Mr. Basketball from Male High School, played at under Joe B. Hall and Eddie Sutton. He was an assistant for Rick Pitino from 1995-97.
