Catching Up With: Michael Bush

Former University of Louisville running back Michael Bush was a key figure during Bobby Petrino's first tenure with the Cardinals program. Cardinal Authority caught up with Bush during the spring game and has this video interview...

Michael Bush was one of the key figures during Bobby Petrino's first tenure as the head coach at the University of Louisville. The standout out athlete at Louisville Male High School was a recruiting priority for many elite programs across the country, but Petrino was able to secure his commitment, which launched a successful college and NFL career.

Bush is one of the many former Petrino players that have publicly shared their excitement to have Petrino back on the Louisville sidelines.

Despite having his senior year coming to a halt in the season's first game, Bush rushed for more than 2,500 yards and had 39 rushing touchdowns during his Cardinal career.

He was drafted by Oakland in the 2007 NFL Draft and spent four years with the Raiders before working in the Chicago Bears backfield for the past two seasons. He's currently a free agent and anticipating the opportunities that will soon surface.
