Louisville adds JC safety Isaac Watson

Bobby Petrino has added another member to the 2014 recruiting class. College of San Mateo safety Isaac Watson has committed to the Cardinals and will eligible to play this fall.

If there was an area of concern for Bobby Petrino following spring practice it was in the Louisville secondary where the team lost one of the best tandems to ever play in the Cardinals secondary. On Monday, Petrino helped lighten those potential concerns.

Junior college prospect Isaac Watson, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound safety, committed to Louisville on Monday night.

A product of Portland (Ore.) Fort Vancouver High School, Watson has spent the past two seasons at College of San Mateo. He'll join teammate and defensive lineman Pio Vatuvei on the Cardinals roster this fall and is eligible to play immediately.

Watson becomes the fourth addition to the 2014 recruiting class since National Signing Day. In addition to Watson and Vatuvei, U of L has also added quarterback Pat Thomas and defensive tackle Tae Thibodeaux.
