The already tough University of Louisville basketball schedule next season just got a little tougher on Thursday.
The Cardinals will host Ohio State on Dec. 2 in the KFC Yum Center as part of the annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge. In all there will be 14 games over three days in the event.
A time and network will be announced later.
The meeting of the two teams will be the ninth in history with the most recent meeting coming on Jan. 4, 2003 when U of L won 72-64 on the road. The series is tied at 4-4.
U of L will now play three Big Ten teams next season, meeting Indiana in the Jimmy V Classic on Dec. 9 in New York and facing Minnesota on Nov. 14 in the Armed Forces Classic.
The Cardinals will also host Kentucky and have the big-time ACC schedule in 2014-15.
