Cardinal Authority sits down with 2016 prospect Zach Collins of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman for a five questions.

The 6-foot-10 Collins has offers from Arizona, USC, New Mexico, UNLV and California. Louisville is showing a lot of interest in Collins, who plays for Dream Vision's 16s AAU team.

Cardinal Authority: In high school you are teammates with top ('15) guys Stephen Zimmerman and Chase Jeter. You have a great high school team and had to wait your turn, how much has that helped your game?

Collins: "My sophomore year paying behind those guys, I knew I had to earn my spot. I knew I had to get tougher physically and mentally and they really helped with that. They really helped my game a lot."

CA: Your dad (Mike) said he's 6-10, how much has he helped in the process? (He played at New Mexico State)

Collins: "He's always telling me to make the right decisions and carry myself in a respectable manner and that's what I've always done. He's been there all my life and I'm glad to have him by my side."

CA: So if dad is 6-10 and he said you have a grandfather taller, do the doctors believe you will grow much more?

Collins: "Everyone thinks I will, but my dad is a realist and thinks I might stop now. I don't know, but the more the merrier. I think my dad shrunk he was 6-10 and now he's 6-9."

CA: Did you have one big growth spurt or was it a steady progress?

Collins: "It was pretty steady and I think before this year I slowed down a little and started to thin out. When that happened I think I started to get longer."

CA: You've seen your teammates get recruited heavily and you have started now. Looking forward to the process?

Collins: "Yes, it's been fun so far. I like it but I know I still have to work hard."
