Five questions: Hoops target Kyle Guy

A new feature at Cardinal Authority will be sitting down with recruiting prospects for a Q&A session. Here we sit down with 2016 basketball target Kyle Guy of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Lawrence Central junior guard Kyle Guy already has offers from Indiana, Purdue and Indiana State.

The 6-foot-2 has been getting serious interest from Louisville since Kenny Johnson was hired as an assistant coach. Cardinal Authority sat down with Guy for five questions:

Cardinal Authority: You are one of those guys labeled a shooter. Do you like that or do you want to be known as something else?

Guy: "Without a doubt I hate that term. I tell everybody I hate that and that's what I have really been trying to work on, to lose that (tag) as a shooter. I really don't want to be known as a shooter."

CA: Don't you believe you are doing a good of of that this spring?

Guy: "Yeah, I hope so. I have always been a good rebounder, so I have been working on that and I am just trying to do a better job at other things, like finishing at the basket and just the little things."

CA: What are you trying to work on the most this spring and summer?

Guy: "I am always working on everything in my game. But obviously my strength, more core and my legs. I think my strength will come to me but I need to keep working on my core. It's coming around, I'm getting stronger."

CA: You are listed at 6-foot-2, do the doctors think you will grow much more?

Guy: "They say one to four inches, so who knows. I could be 6-3 or 6-5, I don't know right now."

CA: How's the recruitment going, three offers and a lot of interest right?

Guy: "It's been great. I have been improving a lot and talking to a lot of coaches and most of them say within time, see how it plays out, they could offer me."
