Top 10 '16 star set for U of L visit

The University of Louisville will have plenty of basketball visitors in the coming weeks, including one of the top 2016 stars. Tyus Battle is expected to visit later this month and Cardinal Authority has the latest.

Ranked as the No. 7 player in the Class of 2016, Gladstone, N.J., Gill St. Bernards School shooting guard Tyus Battle already has over 20 scholarship offers from many top schools.

One of those offers is from the University of Louisville and now Battle is expected to make a visit in the next few weeks to campus.

Scout.com national analyst Evan Daniels confirmed that Battle will be on U of L's campus for an unofficial visit on June 16.

A 6-foot-5 five-star prospect, Battle said Michigan, Villanova, Syracuse, Ohio State and Duke were among the schools recruiting him the hardest at this point in the process.

As a sophomore, Battle averaged 14 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.5 steals a game.
