The University of Louisville football team picked up commitment No. 9 in the Class of 2015 on Monday morning.
Atlanta Mays two-way standout Aaron Cochran attended camp in June and had said then he wanted to commit. On Monday, his verbal commitment became official to the Cardinals.
The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Cochran had offers from Memphis, South Alabama, Western Kentucky, Jacksonville State and several others, while fielding interest from Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Notre Dame along with a few more schools.
Cochran is likely a defensive end at the college level for the Cardinals.
As a junior, Cochran had 39 tackles, eight sacks, two pass deflections and two fumble recoveries. He had five catches for 118 yards and two TDs on offense.
Cochran is the ninth commitment in the Class of 2015, including the third from Georgia. Hiram, Ga., defensive end Jonathan Greenard and Powder Springs, Ga., McEachern lineman Chandler Jones both committed to U of L last month.
