Davis Jumps on Board

Javarius Davis announced a top ten list of schools on Friday. On Saturday night at "Fedora's Freak Show," the Jacksonville (Fla.) White cornerback prospect committed to North Carolina.

Davis, who stands 5-10 and 181 pounds, had a list of offering finalists that included Florida, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UNC, USC and Wisconsin.

He first visited UNC for a Junior Day in February.

Tar Heel cornerbacks coach, and fellow Jacksonville native, Dan Disch recruited Davis for UNC.

Davis plays both running back and defensive back for Ed White High School. He finished his junior season with 976 yards and 12 touchdowns on 89 carries, and 45 yards and a score on three catches. Defensively, he had 37 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and three interceptions. He also returned two kicks to pay dirt.
