Crawford landed the offer on a visit to U of L. He has a "really strong" relationship with new U of L assistant coach Kenny Johnson.
He also holds offers from Villanova, Indiana, Maryland, Georgetown, Nebraska, Connecticut, Texas, Penn State, Rutgers, South Florida and Seton Hall among others.
The 6-foot-1 Crawford sat down for this Q&A session with Cardinal Authority:
Cardinal Authority: You made several visits in a row, including to Louisville and Villanova, are you any closer to making a decision on your college choice?
Crawford: "No, I still want to see a few others schools and then start cutting down my list to focus on a few schools. I would think I will cut it to between three and five and then really focus on those schools."
CA: You said Louisville "will likely" be on that list, what did you like about the visit and what has you high on the Cardinals?
Crawford: "The facilities, the team, the players and how then bond on and off the court and how coach Pitino pushes his guys. It really stood out, the work ethic, the players bound and how they know it's time to work."
CA: You have a great relationship with coach Johnson, how did that come about and what do you like about him?
Crawford: "He's just a great guy. I've known him through AAU ball and high school and we have a great relationship. He's a friendly person, he can joke, laugh, check up on you and stuff like that. He's just good at communicating. He's really good at that.
CA: Does coach Johnson give them an advantage because of your relationship?
Crawford: "It helps a lot. I wouldn't say an advantage, but it definitely help. We had a great time on our tour around the campus. I'm interested in art and he showed me the art building and I liked that a lot."
CA: Any changes in the recruitment other than the new offers?
Crawford: "Not right now, just trying to stay in contact with everybody right now."
