Here are five storylines from Cardinal Authority to watch with the University of Louisville basketball recruiting.

The second evaluation period of the month begins on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

1. WHERE WILL PITINO SPEND HIS TIME? Now that Deng Adel has committed, Louisville coach Rick Pitino will watch him but won't have to spend as much time on recruiting Adel. So, where will Pitino spend his time? Adel is in Milwakuee and I am sure Pitino will make a stop there but expect to see him in the Peach State a bunch. Augusta and Atlanta have events with a ton of top U of L targets in them.

2. DENG THE RECRUITER? Now that he's committed, Deng Adel turns into another recruiter for the U of L staff. While there's not many other top targets in the Milwaukee event, Adel will get to work on a few guys there and even more next week in Las Vegas at the Super 64. He's a dynamic young man and will be good at trying to help lure other top talent to U of L.

3. SEARCH FOR A GUARD ROLLS ON: U of L is in on a bunch of good guards and it will be interesting to see which guard(s) will get the most attention this week. There are six or seven top targets and I would imagine by the end of this period the list will be cut down some. Antonio Blakeney remains a top target, Prince Ali and Donovan Mitchell are newer names near the top of the list, while Allonzo Trier is also another top guy and Bryant Crawford, Isaiah Briscoe and Dwayne Bacon are other guys who will get a lot of attention from the staff. Who will get the most attention? Hard to say after Blakeney right now, will be a key week to see.

4. TWO LOCALS, WHICH TAKES THE LEAD? Trinity's Raymond Spalding has an offer and is the guy in the lead right now for a third spot on the commitment list (Adel and a guard). But Spalding doesn't seem like he is ready to make a decision. So that does that mean for Owensboro's Aric Holman? He drew a lot of interest last week and the Cardinals will evaluate him more this week in Atlanta. What happens if he's offered? I would think he would take it. He's a U of L fan and so is his father. The scenario could happen that he takes it before Spalding makes a decision. This could get interesting.

5. ANY NEW NAMES? I would think one or two new '15 names could surface that the staff will evaluate. But this is the week you will really get to see what '16 prospects (Alkins, Leaf, Pritchard, Tatum, Battle) that staff is serious on. Also, expected a few of the assistants to start taking a peek at some prospects in the Class of 2017.
