University of Louisville senior wide receiver DeVante Parker is not a talkative one.
Many times after games last season for the Cardinals, Parker would make sure he disappeared before he could be brought into the media room to answer questions from reporter.
It's something he just doesn't like to do. Parker has said himself that he "likes to do my talking on the field," plus he's a shy guy.
But on Sunday, Parker and his much-more out-going teammate Lorenzo Mauldin faced the media - all 400-plus members - during the ACC Kickoff at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C., the official kickoff to the season.
"I don't think I've talked this much in my life," Parker said. "But it's been fun. I haven't gotten any really crazy questions."
Parker and Mauldin were major hits in Louisville's first season in the ACC. The Cardinals will open the season on Labor Day night at home against Miami, Fla.
ACC Commissioner John Swofford had an opening statement and welcomed the Cardinals to the league and then it was time for the players.
