Commitment analysis: Tim Bonner

Cardinal Authority takes a closer look at the University of Louisville football programs 10th commitment in the Class of 2015 - Tim Bonner. He's a 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end/outside linebacker from Demopolis, Ala.

Recruit: Tim Bonner

Position: Defensive end/outside linebacker

Location: Demopolis, Ala., High School

Height/weight: 6-5/220

Ranking: NR

The scouting report: Bonner is a little-known recruit who has come on in recent months after showing out at a Mississippi State camp. He claimed an offer from the Bulldogs and then started getting more and more. He plays linebacker in high school but will be a power rush guy off the end in college. He has great strength in his lower body and will be able to add more weight and bulk.

Quotable: Bonner: "Louisville showed they really wanted me, so I wanted to be there. I will show all the other school why Louisville wanted me so much."

Overall analysis: He's a typical Bobby Petrino gem in the rough. Petrino loves to take under-the-radar guys and turn them into something special. Bonner will be a major addition to this class and expect his ranking to rise.

The rest of the class:

Six of the 10 commits are defensive guys, including two defensive ends and two linebackers along with two safeties. Expect the Cards to keep loading up on the defensive guys in this class. But the next commit could be a speedy skill player.
