Cards land 3-star safety from Georgia

The University of Louisville football program has commitment No. 11 - and the second of the week - after Columbus, Ga., Carver High School safety Khane Pass committed to the Cardinals on Friday morning. Pass is a three-star prospect and ranks as the No. 65 safety in the Class of 2015.

Word was the University of Louisville football program was going to get some good news this week - and that it could come more than once.

On Monday, the Cardinals landed a commitment from Demopolis, Ala., defensive end Tim Bonner and now Friday morning there's more good news coming for the Cardinals.

Columbus, Ga., Carver High School safety Khane Pass has given the Cardinals a verbal commitment, the 11th in the Class of 2015 for U of L.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Pass picked the Cardinals over North Carolina, Clemson, Mississippi State, Nebraska and Texas A&M.

Pass is regarded as one of the top 50 prospects in the state of Georgia and

As a junior, Pass had 60 tackles, six interceptions and 10 pass breakups. On the offensive side of the ball, he scored three touchdowns.

Pass is the older brother of 2016 quarterback Jawon Pass, who's also the owner of a Louisville offer. The younger Pass also holds offers from Alabama and Auburn and is considered the No. 7 QB in the Class of 2016 by
