Commitment analysis: Khane Pass

Cardinal Authority takes a closer look at the University of Louisville football programs 11th commitment in the Class of 2015 - Khane Pass. He's a 6-foot, 190-pound safety from Columbus, Ga., Carver High School.

Recruit: Khane Pass

Position: Safety

Location: Columbus, Ga., Carver

Height/weight: 6-0/190

Ranking: 3-star, No. 65 S

The scouting report: A physical player who is considered a big-time heavy hitter. He has good ball skills and nice size, will need to improve his man-to-man skills but he's a solid addition to the commit list as one of the top 50 players in Georgia, which is loaded with talent.

Quotable: analyst Chad Simmons: "Overall, Pass is a physical presence in the defensive backfield and he will bring toughness and physicality to the unit."

Overall analysis: Pass is a great addition on his talents alone but consider his brother - Jawon - is one of the top 2016 QBs in the country and it's an even sweeter deal. It's likely the Pass brothers play at the same school. The older Pass will make an impact on special teams and also at safety.

The rest of the class: The Cardinals needed help at safety and Pass is the third safety on the commit list. He's also the fourth commitment from Georgia. Expect the Cardinals to continue to try and dip into the Peach State, but don't expect many more safety prospects.

Note: His first name is pronounced 'C-A-N-E'
