Cards offer Mississippi State commit

The University of Louisville is recruiting the state of Georgia a lot more than in recent years with already four commitments from the Peach State. On Monday night, U of L offered another standout from the state - Mississippi State commitment Kentavious Thomas.

On the night before fall camp opens, the University of Louisville football staff remained in recruiting mode.

The Cardinals offered several players on Monday, including Mississippi State commitment Kentavious Thomas. He's a three-star running back from Milledgeville, Ga., Baldwin High School who committed to the Bulldogs back in February.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Thomas confirmed the offer from the Cardinals and also Tweeted about it soon after he picked it up.

Thomas was also being recruited by Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Georgia and Clemson before he committed to Mississippi State on Junior Day.

As a sophomore, Thomas ran for 1,002 yards and 18 touchdowns while catching passes for 523 yards and five more scores. Last season as a junior, he ran for 1,114 yards and 21 TDs and had 594 receiving yards for Baldwin.
