The University of Louisville baseball team recently added a pair of top in-state prospects to the future roster.
North Bullitt infielder Logan Wyatt and Rowan County pitcher Cameron Planck - both members of the Class of 2016 - gave the Cardinals' coaching staff verbal commitments.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Wyatt plays third base at North Bullitt but can also play first base and his versatility was a major draw for U of L.
As a junior, Wyatt hit .430 with four home runs and 39 RBIs for North Bullitt. He helped lead his team to the semifinals of the state tournament where they lost to St. X.
"The coaches were the main thing," said Wyatt, noting he was recruited by new assistant Eric Snyder. "I really liked them and love the field and facilities they have at U of L."
The6-3, 190-pound Planck went 7-3 with a 2.57 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 60 innings as a junior for the Vikings.
