The Cardinals were practicing at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium when the product of Louisville Ballard had an injury to his left foot.
He was evaluated by U of L team physicians and the school announced that he will visit Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte, N.C., during the coming days for additional evaluation and management.
The school has yet to announce how long Parker will be sidelined due to the injury.
The 6-foot-3 totaled 55 receptions for a team-high 885 yards and tied a school record with 12 touchdowns last season.
Earlier this summer, Parker was named to the Biletnikoff and Maxwell Awards preseason watch lists.
The Cardinals are scheduled to face Miami on Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
