Cards offer top JUCO cornerback

The University of Louisville football staff has offered a scholarship to one of the top junior-college cornerbacks in the country - Justin Martin. He's originally from Nashville, Tenn., and plays at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Just a few days before the start of the new season, the University of Louisville football staff is still busy on the recruiting trail.

The Cardinals latest offer was extended on Tuesday night to one of the top junior-college cornerbacks in the country.

Justin Martin, a native of Nashville, Tenn., confirmed the Cardinals have offered him a scholarship. He's a 6-foot-2, 180-pound corner playing at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Martin also claims offers from Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Nebraska, South Florida, Memphis and Middle Tennessee.

As a senior last season at Nashville Overton, Martin was an All-State selection. He rushed for 1,887 yards and 26 touchdowns in helping his team to an undefeated season.

Martin will play cornerback and also be a kicker at NE Oklahoma.
