If you said it was a big weekend for University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz and his staff, that would be a major understatement.
It's a monster weekend.
The Cardinals will host five visitors this weekend and all five are ranked among the top 35 prospects in the country. Two of the players - Taja Cole and Brianna Jones - have already committed to the Cardinals.
As Cardinal Authority reported on Friday, Asia Durr is on campus until Sunday morning. She's ranked as the No. 1 player in the country by three media outlets, including ProspectsNation.com. She was spotted at the U of L soccer game on Friday night.
Spanish sensation Angela Salvadores, who was the MVP of the U17 World Championship last month despite her team losing to the USA, is also expected to be on campus this weekend. She's is likely to arrive on Sunday after visiting Duke. She is also expected to check out Purdue and Kentucky before making a decision.
No. 35 prospect Erin DeGrate is a 6-foot-5 center from Texas who is also looking at Baylor, Kansas and Texas A&M but has been reportedly favoring the Cardinals for a while now.
Cole, a guard from Virginia ranked No. 12 in the nation, and Jones, a guard from New York ranked as high as No. 14, are both also making their official visits.
The Cardinals have just two commitments in the Class of 2015 but are expected to take four or perhaps five prospects in the class.
Arike Ogunbowale, who is ranked as the No. 5 player in the country and a close friend of Durr, is expected to visit next month. Also expected to visit next month will be No. 9 Kalani Brown and No. 26 Sam Fuehring.
