The University of Louisville football program will host more than 20 prospects tonight for the opener against Miami in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The group of visitors is an impressive start to the season for the Cardinals. Cardinal Authority has a look at each of the expected visitors coming to the game.

With more than 20 prospects expected on campus tonight for the opener, the Miami game has turned into an important game for recruiting.

Cardinal Authority takes a look at each of the prospects expected to make a visit to U of L for the game tonight:

Mikal Ballard, S, Seneca: The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety committed to Austin Peay in May and is also getting looks from WKU, UK and Nebraska among others. Ballard also played wide receiver and runs a 4.45 40-yard dash.

Arien Beasley, RB, North Oldham: The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Beasley was fifth in the state last season with 1,434 yards and 16 touchdowns. He had 135 yards and three TDs in a win over Oldham County last week. No reports of any offers just yet.

Jarius Brents, DB/WR, Manual: The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Brents, a member of the Class of 2018, picked up a scholarship offer from Kentucky when he was in the seventh-grade.

Donald Brooks, RB, Trinity: Brooks is the feature back at Trinity and has 211 yards rushing and three TDs in two games. He ran for almost 1,000 yards last season and was at U of L for the Spring Game and several other times.

Blanton Creque, K/P, Collins: One of three kickers visiting, Creque is the best in the state of Kentucky this season. He's also looking at Kentucky and Stanford.

Nick Dawson, LB, McDonough, Ga., Eagles Landing: The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker is one of the top recruits on this list. He favors U of L over Illinois, Cincinnati, Iowa State and some others.

Jensen Feggins, Warren Central: Perhaps the state's top senior wide receiver, Feggins played last season at Highlands. He has some smaller offers but has "stayed in contact" with the U of L coaches and is excited about the visit. He was here this winter for a visit.

Sean Hammonds, LB, Ballard: The Ball State commitment has been to U of L several times and will make the return appearance.

Tyron Horton, DE, Manual: The 6-foot-4,255-pound Horton has committed to Western Kentucky but is generating some other interest after a solid start to the season.

Drake Jackson, OL, Woodford County: Ranked as the No. 1 center in the Class of 2016, Jackson has offers from U of L, UK, Alabama, Tennessee and Vandy among others. He's ranked as the No. 85 player nationally in '16.

Aldwin Jackson, CB, Seneca: Another Western Kentucky commitment, Jackson picked the Hilltoppers over Ohio, Toledo, Ball State and Tennessee State and several others.

Ramone Kelly, LB, Doss: The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Kelly has some interest from the Cardinals, Indiana and others.

Davis Mattingly, QB, Male: Mattingly threw for over 3,000 yards last season and led the Bulldogs to the Class 6-A state semifinals. The top senior QB in the state?

Jacob Lafree, K, Plymouth, Ind.: Top kicker in Indiana also looking at Indiana, Syracuse, Western Michigan, Indianapolis and several others.

Graham Lawrence, OL, Trigg County: A 6-foot-5, 310-pound lineman from Western Kentucky, Lawrence is starting to generate some chatter in the recruiting circles.

Michael Nero, RB, Manual: Has an offer from Toledo but interest from the Cardinals, Cincinnati, Indiana and some others.

Kareem Orr, RB, Chattanooga, Tenn., Notre Dame: U of L commitment is expected at a few games this season. Will sign in November.

Tucker Smith, K, Blythewood, S.C.: The third kicker among the group of recruits, Smith is consistent and also punts.

Trey Smith, RB, Madison, Miss.: A chance he may commit on the visit, Smith is the son of former NFL wide receiver Jimmy Smith.

Keshawn Vaughn, RB, Nashville, Tenn.: One of the top backs in the state of Tennessee, Vaughn visited Vandy on Thursday and will see the U of L campus on Monday.

Keion Wakefield, WR, Male: One of the state's elite players, a member of the Class of 2016 Wakefield didn't get a ton of attention from the previous staff at U of L.

Devon Wharton, S, Christian County: Wharton has a few offers but from smaller schools. He's on the uptick and has improved a lot heading into his senior season.

Mykelti Williams, S, Indianapolis: Another prospect on commitment watch, Williams has favored the Cardinals for a while.
