Abdul Ado visiting Louisville

The University of Louisville basketball team will host a top Class of 2016 prospect on Saturday when Abdul Ado makes a visit to campus. Ado is a four-star center who attends Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Chattanooga, Tenn., Hamilton Heights Christian Academy junior center Abdul Ado tried to make an official trip to Louisville in June.

But travel plans changed and the 6-foot-11 four-star prospect from the Class of 2016 didn't make it. But this summer he said he wanted to "get up there as soon as I can to visit."

Now, Ado will make that trip. He will be at U of L on Saturday for an unofficial visit.

Ado has been in contact with U of L assistant coach Kenny Johnson and said he "has built a good relationship with him."

"When someone told me coach Johnson from Louisville called, it took me two hours to text him," Ado said. "It was really nice. I felt a little nervous because it was Louisville.

"I like Louisville. I have heard a lot about them winning the NCAA championship and I know of (Gorgui) Dieng. I was a (Peyton) Siva fan when I watched them, I liked him a lot."

Ado is a native of Lagos, Nigeria, and is ranked as the No. 51 prospect in the Class of 2016 by Scout.com.
