But travel plans changed and the 6-foot-11 four-star prospect from the Class of 2016 didn't make it. But this summer he said he wanted to "get up there as soon as I can to visit."
Now, Ado will make that trip. He will be at U of L on Saturday for an unofficial visit.
Ado has been in contact with U of L assistant coach Kenny Johnson and said he "has built a good relationship with him."
"When someone told me coach Johnson from Louisville called, it took me two hours to text him," Ado said. "It was really nice. I felt a little nervous because it was Louisville.
"I like Louisville. I have heard a lot about them winning the NCAA championship and I know of (Gorgui) Dieng. I was a (Peyton) Siva fan when I watched them, I liked him a lot."
Ado is a native of Lagos, Nigeria, and is ranked as the No. 51 prospect in the Class of 2016 by Scout.com.
