McCracken County High School athlete Zy'Aire Hughes committed to the University of Kentucky in July but had kept an open-mind about the recruiting process.

The top standout from the Class of 2016 in Western Kentucky has been hearing from recently and on Saturday made an unofficial visit to the University of Louisville.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Hughes said he doesn't have an offer yet from U of L but is hoping to make it back to another game sometime this season.

"I really enjoyed myself," Hughes said. "I enjoyed it."

Hughes has played multiple positions in high school, including quarterback and wide receiver on offense. In limited time at QB as a sophomore, Hughes threw for 1,253 yards and 14 touchdowns.

In an opening week win over Mayfield, Hughes accounted for 340 yards and four TDs.
