Commitment Analysis: Paul Harris

Cardinal Authority takes a closer look at the University of Louisville football programs 17th commitment in the Class of 2015 - Paul Harris. He's a 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver from Iowa Western CC.

Recruit: Paul Harris

Position: Wide Reciever

Location: Iowa Western C.C., Council Bluffs, Iowa

Height/Weight: 6-4/205

Rating: 3-stars as a high school senior.

The Scouting Report: A tall prospect that will allow Bobby Petrino to stretch the field and in red zone situations. A former high school track star, Harris has very good speed and can seperate in a hurry. As a high school senior at Upper Marlboro (Md.) Douglas, Haris rated as the top receiver prospect in Maryland and among the top 50 in the nation.

Quoteable: Derek Young, Scout Recruiting Reporter - “Harris is a very physical threat and has the knack for making the sensational catch. There's still a lot of untapped potential there and schools from all over the nation will embark at Iowa Western with the belief they can draw it out. At this stage he's still a bit raw and learning the position but a bright future could be ahead of him if he figures it all out.”

Overall Analysis: Harris is an excellent addition to a strong recruiting class. With the Cardinals offense poised to lose the majority of it's experienced receivers, Harris will fill an immediate need on the depth chart. He played 5 games during his year at Tennessee, which is valuable experience.

The Rest of the Class: Harris' commitment pushes Louisville's recruiting class to 17 players deep. Harris is the third receiver to pledge to the Cardinals in the 2015 class, joining high school commits Jaylen Smith and Dahu Green.
