Cardinal Authority publisher Jody Demling had an opportunity to do a Q&A with new Louisville women's basketball commitment Asia Durr on Tuesday night.

Durr is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the country in the Class of 2015 and committed to the Cardinals over Maryland, Baylor, Duke and Notre Dame on Tuesday afternoon.

Here's the Q&A with Durr:

Cardinal Authority: Congrats on your commitment. It was a big day, did you get at all nervous about making the decision public?

Durr: "Yes, today was nervous for me. It was such a big day, so of course you are going to have some nerves. But it was just such a big day and I was so happy to see all of the support for me. I'm luck with everyone who was there for me, supporting me during the process."

Cardinal Authority: When you made the decision public, did you see some of the love from the Louisville fans on social media?

Durr: "It's been hectic because there's so many, but it's been all love and I really appreciate it from the fans. Coach (Jeff) Walz, coach Sam (Purcell), Coach (Samantha) Williams and coach (Stephanie) Norman told me the fans were crazy and I mean crazy as in good. And I picked up on that real quick. They were sending me messages all week, it's been a lot of fun."

Cardinal Authority: You had some great options, in the end what was it that made you picked Louisville?

Durr: "I would say that I just felt like I was home. They made me feel so comfortable there and just made me feel like I was home. It was so nice, the players acted like I was already one of their sisters. It was great."

Cardinal Authority: Did you want to make the decision now? Originally, wasn't the plan to wait until later in the fall?

Durr: "I did want to get it off my back. It's good that I made it before my senior year, to get the pressure off my back. I wanted to wait until later in October but my parents knew I liked it and just said, 'Why wait?'.

Cardinal Authority: And Louisville was it?

Durr: "The other schools were great and I couldn't go wrong with any of my decisions. But in the end, Louisville was just the perfect fit for me."

Cardinal Authority: And what about coach Walz?

Durr: "I just really liked coach Walz and his staff. I like the style the play and just everything about them."

Cardinal Authority: So, now do you become a recruiter for Louisville? I know you are friends with top 10 target Arike Ogunbowale, who is expected to visit the U of L campus early next month.

Durr: "Yes, we are pretty close. We've played with USA Basketball two summers in a row, so we got know each other. The (U of L) program speaks for itself, but I will stay in her ear some about it."
