Pitino hits the road recruiting

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino has been on the road recruiting for the first two days of the recruiting period. Cardinal Authority has the details on what prospects Pitino has seen on the road.

The University of Louisville basketball program has four commitments in the Class of 2015 and the Cardinals are finished recruiting in that class.

But that hasn't stopped coach Rick Pitino from going on the road.

Pitino has been out on the road the first two days of this recruiting period where coaches can make in-home visits and see prospects at their high schools.

On Tuesday, Pitino was in Glastone, N.J. visiting one of the top prospects in the Class of 2016 - Tyus Battle. The 6-foot-6 Battle is ranked as the No. 12 prospect in the '16 class by Scout.com and recently made an unofficial visit to U of L.

Pitino was then in Wolfeboro N.H., on Wednesday and was visiting with Brewster Academy guard Donovan Mitchell, who has committed to the Cardinals. Mitchell is the No. 20 prospect in the '15 class and will sign with U of L in November.

Later this month, Pitino is expected to visit '15 commits Antonio Blakeney and Deng Adel.
