University of Louisville football commitment Matt Colburn is off to a fast start in three games for his Irmo, S.C., Dutch Fork High School team this season. Colburn already has over 500 yards rushing on the season.

The Irmo, S.C., Dutch Fork running back, who is committed to the University of Louisville, already has more than 500 yards rushing through three games.

The 5-foot-9, 195-pound Colburn, who was named the Columbia, S.C., Touchdown Club's Offensive Player of the Week last week, has helped Dutch Fork to a 2-1 record. The loss came on the road to one of the top teams in the country - Allen, Tx.

Colburn has 511 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns, averaging 8.2 yards a carry through three games. He is averaging 170.3 yards a game and also has a receiving touchdown.

In a win over Boiling Springs this past weekend, Colburn ran 19 times for 115 yards and four TDs. He had 25 carries for 250 yards and four TDs against Allen the previous week.

Colburn helped Dutch Fork claim the South Carolina 4-A Division I State Championship last season, while establishing a new school single season record with 2,488 yards. He was chosen as the 4-A Division I Player of the Year following his outstanding junior season.
