Jeff Walz lands another top 30 commitment

University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz has landed a fifth top-30 prospect in the Class of 2015 with the commitment of New Jersey standout Samantha Fuehring. She is a 6-foot-3 forward and ranks No. 26 in the class by ProspectsNation.com.

The recruiting is still going strong in the Class of 2015 for the University of Louisville women's basketball program.

With four commitments already in the '15 class, U of L coach Jeff Walz and his staff added a fifth on Tuesday morning when New Jersey standout Samantha Fuehring committed.

The 6-foot-3 Fuehring attends Lodi, N.J., Immaculate Conception and plays AAU for the New Jersey Sparks program.

In an interview in July, Fuehring told Cardinal Authority that she wanted to make a college decision before her senior season of high school ball. She had been an underrated prospect until last spring and now she's ranked No. 26 by ProspectNations.com nationally.

"It opened up for me and I had about 30 schools," Fuehring said. "Louisville has been in there. They are very nice and welcoming. I watched them on TV last year a lot and I think I would fit in well there."

Fuehring picked U of L over California, Dayton, Rutgers, Seton Hall, South Carolina, Tennessee. As a junior, Fuehring averaged 20.9 points and 7.8 rebounds a game.
