Demopolis, Ala., High School defensive end Tim Bonner said he is getting interest from several schools in the Southeastern Conference.
But the 6-foot-5, 215-pound Bonner said he's already seen the defense he wants to play for next season when he gets to college.
"I love watching Louisville's defense and the way they fly around," Bonner said. "I can't wait to get there and be part of it."
Bonner committed to U of L in late July and said he's still "firm" on his commitment. He's still been hearing from Mississippi State and Kentucky.
"I talk to (U of L defensive line coach) L.D. Scott all the time and I'm excited to get there," he said. "I'm having fun this year, but I can't wait for college.
"Other schools are calling but I'd rather play in the ACC at Louisville."
Bonner, who had more than a dozen scholarship offers, has helped Demopolis to a 4-1 record this season. He has double-digit tackles three games, including two in a row with 12.
"I'm a little bigger and a little stronger," he said. "We're having a good year."
Bonner said he will make a visit to U of L for the Kentucky game in November.
