U of L football recruiting update

Cardinal Authority takes a look at how each of the 18 U of L football commitments fared over the weekend with their respective high schools.

The University of Louisville football program has 18 commitments in the Class of 2015. Here’s a look at how those prospects fared this weekend:

James Allen, Citra, Fla., North Marion

Allen was a key offensive figure in North Marion's 52-12 win at Crystal River on Friday night. Allen had 13 carries for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Tim Bonner, DE, Demopolis, Ala.

Bonner was instrumental in helping his team pitch a shutout on Friday. Demopolis defeated Sumpter Central 38-0 and held their ground game to just 34 yards.

Amonte Caban, LB, Smiths Station, Ala.

Smiths Station fell to 7A power Central 49-28 on Friday night. No available stats on Caban.

Aaron Cochran, DE, Atlanta Mays

6th-ranked Mays fell 13-7 to top-ranked 6A Creekside.

Matt Colburn, RB, Irmo, S.C., Dutch Fork

Colburn missed Dutch Fork's 27-7 win over rival Irmo due to a high ankle sprain. Colburn anticipates returning to action this weekend.

Dahu Green, WR, Oklahoma City, Okla., Westmoore

Green finished with five catches for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns in Westmoore's come-from-behind 44-35 victory over rival Edmond Sante Fe.

Jonathan Greenard, LB, Hiram, Ga.

Playing on both sides of the ball, Greenard was instrumental in Hiram's 41-9 win over Lithia Springs. Among his highlights was a 65-yard touchdown reception.

Paul Harris, WR, Iowa Western

No. 1 ranked Iowa Western improved to 6-0 with a 45-3 win over Garden City CC.

Lamar Jackson, QB, Boynton Beach, Fla.

Boynton Beach remained undefeated, blowing out Cardinal Newman 63-0 over the weekend.

T.J. Jallow, S, Olive Branch, Miss.

Olive Branch lost to undefeated South Panola 46-7.

Chandler Jones, OL, Powder Springs, Ga., McEachern

Jones helped 9th-ranked McEachern to a 37-23 win over Marietta.

Kareem Orr, RB, Chattanooga, Tenn., Notre Dame

Orr totaled five catches for 117 yards and two TDs in Notre Dame's 35-3 win over Signal Mountain.

Khane Pass, S, Columbus, Ga., Carver

No game scheduled for Carver.

G.G. Robinson, TE, Lilburn, Ga., Parkview

No game scheduled for Parkview.

Traveon Samuel, RB, Phenix City, Ala., Central

Central remained undefeated following a 49-28 win over Smiths Station. Samuel has 511 rushing yards, 342 receiving yards and 10 total TDs on the season.

Jaylen Smith, WR, Pascaguola, Miss., High School

Smith helped Pascaguola to a 28-10 win over East Central.

Trey Smith, RB, Madison, Miss., Central

After missing last week with a leg injury, Smith returned in a big way to help Central defeat Murrah 52-28. Smith threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns on 12-for-17 passing, while also rushing for 75 yards and three more scores.

Troy Thingstad, OL, Mobile, Ala., St. Paul’s Episcopal

St. Paul's lost their first of the season, a 41-6 loss to Williamson.
