South Carolina commit to visit Louisville

Quandeski Whitlow, a three-star defensive end from Opelika, Ala., committed to South Carolina in June, but will make an official visit at Louisville in January three-star defensive end Quandeski Whitlow committed to South Carolina in June, but is still considering his options.

In addition to the offer from the Gamecocks, the Opelika, Ala. prospect holds scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Minnesota, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and others.

"I am still committed and South Carolina is still my top school, but I do want to check out some other schools, and see some other places," Whitlow told National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons.

One of those places will be U of L. Whitow, 6'4, 225-pounds, has scheduled an official visit with the Cardinals program for January 17.

While he doesn't know much about what opportunities exist at Louisville, he told Scout that he's looking forward discovering that while on his visit.

"I will learn about them when I get up there," he said.

As for now, he's remaining focused on his senior year on the gridiron.

"I still have games to play, I still have teammates to play hard for, and that is my focus right now," said Whitlow. "I will take my visits after the season and get a feel for places other than South Carolina.

"It will take a lot to change my mind, but I do want to see what else is out there. I just need to check some other schools out."
