Louisville football: Recruiting notebook

Cardinal Authority has a notebook of items from the University of Louisville football recruiting scene, including a new offer and a target trims his list.

JUCO WR LANDS U OF L OFFER

Riverside, Calif., Community College wide receiver Isaac Whitney now has eight offers after landing ones from Louisville and Vanderbilt this week.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Whitney also has offers from Boise State, California, Indiana, Texas Tech, Washington State and West Virginia.

Whitney has 20 catches for 358 yards and two TDs this season for Riverside.

A sophomore, Whitney will finish up his two-year degree at Riverside in December and will have two years of eligibility left at the schools of his choice.

Florida LB HAS CARDS IN TOP 15

Three-star Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan linebacker, Devin Bush Jr., is only a junior but has already started to narrow his list.

Bush cut the list to 15, including the Louisville Cardinals.

U of L is joined on the list by Florida, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, UCLA, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Iowa, Duke, Oregon State, Rutgers and Northern Illinois.

The 6-foot, 210-pound Bush is listed as the No. 32 outside linebacker in the '16 class by Scout.com and is a three-star prospect.

Bush, the son of former Florida State Seminole and NFL safety, Devin Bush.

CARDS COMMIT LANDS OFFER

U of L commitment Jonathan Greenard made a pledge to the Cardinals in early June and is having a banner season at linebacker for Hiram, Ga.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Greenard added an offer from Missouri this week. He's the No. 80 linebacker in the country in the Scout.com rankings.

Greenard told Cardinal Authority last month that he will visit U of L for the Kentucky game in late November.
