Takeaways: Louisville at Clemson

PICKENS, S.C. -- Cardinal Authority shares a few thoughts on the Cardinals 23-17 loss at Clemson on Saturday

The University of Louisville football team arrived in 'Death Valley' as a double-digit underdog, yet left feeling as if it should have been the victor. Self-inflicted errors continued to plague the Cardinals on Saturday at Clemson, where a play in the final seconds of the game fell short in a 23-17 loss.

The atmosphere was excellent and yes, Memorial Stadium is loud. The Clemson fans were welcoming and inviting. The pregame tailgating ranks among the best and for good reason. The entirity of the ball game had all 81,500 of the sold-out stadium on the edge of their seat. A great conference rivalry is being born.
