U of L football recruiting update

Cardinal Authority takes a look at how each of the 18 U of L football commitments fared over the weekend with their respective high schools.

The University of Louisville football program has 18 commitments in the Class of 2015. Here’s a look at how those prospects fared this weekend:

James Allen, Citra, Fla., North Marion

North Marion was off this week; Allen has 1,003 yards and 10 TDs.

Tim Bonner, DE, Demopolis, Ala.

Bonner had 12 tackles, one sack, 5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery as Demopolis beat Wilcox Central 58-6 to clinch the regional.

Amonte Caban, LB, Smiths Station, Ala.

Smiths Station fell to 5-4 after a 45-7 loss to Enterprise.

Aaron Cochran, DE, Atlanta Mays

Cochran helped Mays roll 44-0 in Atlanta.

Matt Colburn, RB, Irmo, S.C., Dutch Fork

Colburn had 17 carries for 138 yards and 5 TDs in one half as Dutch Fork pounded Blythewood 56-14.

Dahu Green, WR, Oklahoma City, Okla., Westmoore

No individual stats but Westmoore lost 42-10 to Broken Arrow.

Jonathan Greenard, LB, Hiram, Ga.

Greenard had a 7-yard TD catch in a 35-7 loss to Allatoona.

Paul Harris, WR, Iowa Western

Did not play for Iowa Western,

Lamar Jackson, QB, Boynton Beach, Fla.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 112 yards and four touchdowns as Boynton Beach decked Suncoast 42-0.

T.J. Jallow, S, Olive Branch, Miss.

No stats for Jallow but Olive Brach downed Horn Lake 56-44.

Chandler Jones, OL, Powder Springs, Ga., McEachern

Jones helped McEachern to a 5-2 mark and 60-34 win over North Paulding.

Kareem Orr, RB, Chattanooga, Tenn., Notre Dame

Orr had two TDs and an interception in a 35-7 win over Sequatchie County.

Khane Pass, S, Columbus, Ga., Carver

Pass and Carver beat Shaw 32-16.

G.G. Robinson, TE, Lilburn, Ga., Parkview

Robinson had two sacks but Parkview lost 35-20 to South Gwinnett.

Traveon Samuel, RB, Phenix City, Ala., Central

Samuel helped Phenix Central beat Jeff Davis 31-20.

Jaylen Smith, WR, Pascaguola, Miss., High School

Smith had a sensational punt return for a TD in a 52-0 win over Long Beach.

Trey Smith, RB, Madison, Miss., Central

Madison Central lost 28-0 to Starkville.

Troy Thingstad, OL, Mobile, Ala., St. Paul’s Episcopal

Thingstad helped open holes for an offense than rushed for five TDs in a 49-12 win over Escambia County.
