The University of Louisville football team has completed their second day of practice since falling to Florida State last Thursday. The Cardinals attention now turns towards Boston College, their attention final ACC contest of the season.
Todd Grantham, the Cardinals defensive coordinator was pleased with how his group responded following the emotional loss.
"We've worked hard the past couple of days," said Grantham. "Anytime you invest a lot into something it can be tough when you are on the short side of it. That's part of life. That's part of getting to get where we want to get. You have to be able to go through the tough times and be handle that and move on."
The Cardinals continue to lead the country against the run, allowing just 78 yards a game and that will be tested at Boston College. The Eagles offense ranks ninth in the nation rushing the ball. Quarterback Tyler Murphy prefers to run and has more rush attempts than passing attempts on the season. He leads his team with an average 107 yards an outing, while running backs Jon Hillman and Myles Willis combine for another 108 yards on the ground per game.
"We have a very talented team that we are going to face that gives you some challenges with what they do offensively," Grantham explained. "We understand that we have to turn our focus on them and get ready to play a team that is on a roll right now."
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass. ESPN2 will broadcast.
