University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino expects to sign another player in the Class of 2015 in the spring.
But Pitino said his staff won't "just sign anyone," to add to the class of Deng Adel, Donovan Mitchell and Ray Spalding.
"We're scouring the country right now," Pitino said. "We will not take anybody that doesn't possess the same character of these three young men and doesn't possess the same ability. We'll just wait and look for a fifth-year player or recruit for the following year."
The U of L staff will be back out on the road Tuesday watching prospects. All four coaches are expected to be be out watching prospects.
Pitino and Kenny Johnson are expected to watch Philadelphia Life Center Academy point guard Traci Carter, who is ranked as the No. 92 player in the Scout.com top 100.
Carter sat out all of spring and the entire summer with a torn meniscus in his knee. He's fully healthy and picking up a lot of college interest.
Tennessee, Cincinnati, SMU and Dayton are among the other schools showing interest.
But he won't be the only player the U of L staff sees. Pitino said they "won't rush" anything in the recruitment and could end up taking a fifth-year senior.
Adding that, "we need another player to come in."
"The players we were recruiting, we loved the guys we were recruiting, we didn't get them, so we've got to get somebody else," he said. "I'll hit the road tomorrow."
