JUCO OL Kellerman sets visit to Louisville

Butler County Community College offensive lineman Matt Kellerman is expected to make a visit to three schools this month before making a decision. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Kellerman will enroll at a college in January and has three years to play two.

Butler County Community College offensive lineman Matt Kellerman made his first official visit to Illinois last weekend. He has two more to make in the coming weeks.

The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Kellerman said he will make a visit to Iowa State and then he'll be at Louisville for the Nov. 29 game against Kentucky.

"I'm just looking for a good fit for me," Kellerman said. "I want to make sure I take my time and pick the right place for me."

Kellerman, a non-qualifier out of high school in Prairie View, Kan., said he would try to make a decision shortly after the visits. He is hoping to enroll in January and would be eligible with three years to play two seasons.

With U of L, Kellerman said he's been in contact with offensive line coach Chris Klenakis and called the Cardinals' assistant coach "a really good guy."

"It seems like a nice place and a program on the rise," Kellerman said. "I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like there. (Klenakis) said they need an agile tackle, they need someone to come in and help them right away."

Kellerman was only 280 pounds when he was in high school. Butler County finished 8-3.
