JUCO CB from Jersey visiting Louisville

Garden City (N.Y.) cornerback Rasul Douglas will make an official visit to the University of Louisville this weekend. Douglas, who will be one of 11 official visitors, checks in with CardinalAuthority.com before the visit.

The interest level for Garden City (N.Y.) Nassau Community College cornerback Rasul Douglas is really starting to pick up in recent weeks.

After a solid sophomore season, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Douglas has already visited West Virginia and will make an official visit to Louisville this weekend. He also mentioned Tennessee, %%MATCH_6%% and Central %%MATCH_5%% among others.

"Nothing right now," Douglas when asked if he had a leader. "I'm just looking around, going to take my visits and see what I like."

Douglas, who plans on making a decision in the next two weeks, said he has been talking to U of L cornerbacks coach Terrell Buckley.

"They've been on me for a minute," Douglas said. "They said they like that I can be a lock down corner for them or also come up the field and make a play.

"I don't know much about them; but I'm going to find out more (on the visit)."

Douglas played safety in high school at East Orange (N.J.) but wasn't heavily recruited because of his academic situation. He went to the JUCO and has turned in two solid years on the field and "it's been a lot of fun for me."

In 2013, Douglas recorded 45 tackles, nine pass break-ups, four interceptions and one forced fumble. As a sophomore, Douglas had 54 tackles, 15 pass breakups, two interceptions and two sacks in eight games.
