Butler County Community College offensive lineman Matt Kellerman has made visits to Illinois and Iowa State in back-to-back weeks. He'll make his third official visit this weekend when he travels to the University of Louisville.
The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Kellerman has blown up in recent weeks with tons of interest from colleges. He said U of L has been in the mix for more than a month.
"It seems like a nice place and a program on the rise," Kellerman said. "I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like there. (line coach Chris Klenakis) said they need an agile tackle, they need someone to come in and help them right away."
Kellerman has raked in offers from U of L, Colorado State, East Carolina, Georgia State, Illinois, Iowa State, Memphis, Nevada, North Texas, and Southern Mississippi this month. He's expected to make a decision in the next few weeks.
Kellerman will enroll in January and have three years to play two at the school he picks. He will be available to participate in spring ball.
A non-qualifier out of high school in Prairie View, Kan., Kellerman was only 280 pounds when he was in high school. Butler County finished 8-3.
